Books on Arsh Sehbai, poetic anthology by Khurshid Kazmi released in Jammu

Srinagar, October 3: Anjuman-e-Faroogh-e-Urdu held a book outing in Jammu on Sunday in which books on the eminent Urdu poet, the late Arsh Sahbai, were published.
A critical book ‘Mughani-e-Hayat Arsh’ compiled by Syed Khurshid Kazmi, ‘Urdu Ghazal Ke Ahd-Saz Shayir: Arsh’ by Kaushal Kiran Thakur and three anthologies of poetry by Arsh Sehbai titled ‘Teri Pur-fasoon Nigahein’ , ‘Saye Teri Yaadon Ke’ and ‘Shabnum Teri Yaadon Ki’ were also released.
In addition, a poetic anthology by the famous poet Syed Khurshid Kazmi entitled “Teri Fasoon-Saaz Aankhen” was also published. The Chairman of the Waqf Development Committee of the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi, was the guest of honor. Lawyer and journalist Sohail Kazmi presided over the ceremony while poet Khurshid Kazmi, author Dr Jitendra Udhampuri and Professor Qudoos Javed were also present on the occasion.
Congratulating the Anjuman-e-Faroogh-e-Urdu for the service rendered by the non-profit organization for the promotion of Urdu language and literature in the Jammu division, the top leader of the BJP, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi , said Arsh Sahbai’s poetry has received international acclaim. and we are fortunate to have lived with him here. She praised the efforts of the Anjuman to release her unpublished books and provide a platform for the Ash-Shinasi. “Arsh was the son of the ground and he will remain as a beacon of Urdu poetry inspiring our young writers and authors. Khurshid Kazmi is also a distinguished and gentle poet who deserves applause for his latest book of poetry, ”said Dr Darakhshan Andrabi.
She said that art and literature are universal creative reflections and their unifying force is magical. She called on the Warriors of the Pen to address broader human concerns through literature so that it remains relevant beyond time and space.
In his speech, Sohail Kazmi said that Arsh Sahbai has been a vibrant literary movement in Jammu for decades and that veterans like Khurshid Kazmi have been part of his literary activities throughout his speech. He said when on the one hand we see the territory of Urdu tighten up in J&K, but on the other hand we see Urdu literature transcending all borders and becoming popular in all different linguistic fields. He said that by adding these very valuable books published today, the Urdu treasure will be more valuable. He praised the Urdu brotherhood of J&K for their tireless efforts in preserving and promoting the Urdu language in UT despite many difficulties.
The welcoming speech was delivered by the president of Anjuman Fozia Zia. The function was attended by many prominent poets, journalists and social activists and poetry lovers.
